Honestly, I’m a little lazy. If you don’t believe me ask my friends hulu and netflix. In order to achieve my goals, it requires many daily actions that I don’t necessarily want to do.
Here are a few examples:
I want to get rid of that little bit of stubborn belly fat therefore I use My FitnessPal & aim to work out 4 times per week.
I want to be more focused with my businesses and sometimes I get distracted.
I want to value my time. I can talk to almost anyone forever and sometimes devalue my time.
I want to hold myself to a higher standard in everything….
One of the main ways that I get out of my rut is through my “whys”. My whys are grounded in foster care alumni and & opportunity youth that I want to serve, changing my family narrative, and my future family. At times, I get discouraged but then I dust myself off and try it again.
I used to think that making more money was a deep enough reason to motivate me. As I’ve grown older, I realize that it’s such a poor anchor. It’s not enough. It’s your WHY.
As we focus on closing out 2019, I want you to be mindful of your whys. If you don’t know your why, I encourage you to spend some quiet time and analyze the things that motivate you. Your motivation will lead you to your whys.
