New Me? New Decade? Who’s This?
Happy New Year! Welcome to 2020! We made it!
If you haven’t already planned your 2020, you’re already behind! Before you say anything, I want you to know that you can change your life at any moment. Simultaneously, it isn’t too late. You don’t need to wait until January 1st or January 31st to create or reinvent yourself. You can do it right now.
In this new year and decade, I vow to be more transparent with you as each of you. I’ve set a new intention for this decade and I would like to share it with you- ASK BOLDLY. It’s based on Matthew 7:7-8:
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds, and the to the one who knocks; the door will be opened.”
At the end of 2019, I constantly had this idea of asking boldly and asking for what I desire. For a while, I felt like making bold requests of people was a burden to them. I finally realized that in order to go to a new level in every area of my life, I need to get super uncomfortable and ASK BOLDLY.
Now, you’re probably thinking- what does ask boldly mean? Asking boldly means getting specific in your requests of others. Asking boldly means asking when you think the answer may be “NO”. Asking boldly means asking when you’re scared of the outcome. It means asking people to support you. Asking boldly can mean believing and asking GOD/Universe/ higher power etc. explicitly for the desires of your heart.
Here’s my personal example of asking boldly( even when you think the answer might be NO). I’ve wanted to see the musical Hamilton for a long time. Hamilton tickets can be expensive! Believe it or not, I was nervous about asking (this seems ridiculous now). This year, I asked for Hamilton tickets for Christmas. I thought the answer would be NO, but instead, it was YES. Not only am I going to see Hamilton in NYC, but I will also be sitting in the 4th row too. Ayyyeeeee!!!!! I want you to define what asking boldly means to you. I want to hear about your BOLD intentions for the new year. To help inspire and motivate you, I plan to share my BOLD requests each month. Cheers to asking BOLDLY and creating your life on your terms.
